We are excited that you are interested in learning more about faculty led programming. All faculty will take part in pre-departure informational meetings that including emergency protocol and emergency contact information. If you have questions about the process below, please reach out to the 海外教育.

This will allow you to access your application at anytime. Proposals need to be submitted at least one year in advance of the proposed program date. 项目 can be proposed to run for one academic year or for two consecutive academic years. Any program approved to run for two years shall be submitted to the University Advisory Council for review if significant changes are made to the program itinerary or course content.

Guidelines for Traveling Abroad

Out-of-状态 and international 旅行 expenses will not be reimbursed without written approval prior to 旅行.  It is advisable to have permission received prior to purchasing airline tickets, etc. Following are steps employees should take to become educated about international 旅行 and ensure all appropriate steps are taken prior to 旅行 commencing.

1. Start applying for 旅行 permission no less than 一个月 预计出发前.
2. 回顾并遵循所有 SCSU 旅行 authorization protocols and requirements 包括完成 旅行授权表格.
3. 回顾并遵循 Minnesota State system 旅行 procedures.
4. Determine if the country of destination has a 旅游警告. 如果是这样:
   
   1. 回顾你的 insurance coverage provided by Redpoint/Securian.
   2. 审查 the safety insurance linked to your State of Minnesota health insurance carrier.  No additional insurance is required.
   3. Register with the Department of State's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (步骤). 
   4. Attach the following paperwork to the 旅行授权表格:
      1. STEP注册文件.  Or, the STEP information may be emailed to the 总统办公室 at presidentsoffice@stcloud状态.edu.
      2. Travel Advisory page(s) for the desired destination(s).
      3. Completed Request for Approval of Travel to Country Under U.S. Department of State Travel Warning Or Alert form (多克斯).
      4. 完成、签署并注明日期 Employee Acknowledgement of International Travel Risks and Responsibilities form (.医生).
5. Upon approval of all 旅行 request forms:
   1. 审查 information about the country of destination to determine if any immunizations are required. 
   2. Determine if a visa must be obtained for the country of destination by reviewing visa requirements at the country’s consulate/visa information at: 旅行.状态.政府.
